The Friends of the Alfred Shaker Museum are teaming up with

the York County Shelter Programs, the Brothers’ Apple Store, and

Giles Family Farm to sponsor the Shaker Hill Apple Festival.

Each organization will be raising funds for their particular endeavors.

During the Shaker Hill Apple Festival, visitors can enjoy the

following activities at the Alfred Shaker Museum:


Beautiful new Shaker mural by Sandy Howe

Shaker-related Craft Demonstrations

   Artisan displaying and demonstrating penny rugs  Saturday and Sunday

   Silver smith making wire jewelry - Saturday and Sunday

   Spinner Sunday only.

   Silhouette artist Sunday only

   Artisan that makes items from vintage paper-Christmas ornaments, block 

   letters, etc.

   Artisan making small poplarware Shaker baskets - Saturday and Sunday

   Artisan demonstrating tatting - Saturday and Sunday

   Chair caning-Saturday only

   Artisan who makes Shaker brooms- nice ones!!  Sunday only
