The skyrocketing need for food at the York County Shelter Programs' Food Pantry that is illustrated by the long lines taken in this recent photo has contributed to the introduction of a unique "Drive-By Under The Lights Food Drive" for seven nights in the parking lot outside the York County Court House in Alfred.    

To bring awareness to the York County Shelter

Programs' critical need for food for their Food Pantry,

a unique "Drive-By - Under the Lights Food Drive" has been organized for seven nights

when many commuters are heading home after work.

This unique food drive will take place Monday, Nov. 14

through Friday, Nov. 18 and Monday, Nov. 21, and

Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 4-6 p.m.

This outside "Drive-By Under The Lights

Food Drive" will be held in the parking lot

of the York County Courthouse in Alfred off

of Route 111.  Area residents are encouraged

to come and show their support for York County's 

hungry by dropping off non-perishable food items

and money donations for the Shelter to buy

turkeys.  Just look for the lighted tent

off of Route 111 in Alfred.  Donated coffee 

will be served.
