York County Shelter Programs is located on the grounds of the Brothers of Christian Instruction in
Alfred, Maine. The historic property is an old Shaker village.
This beautiful 1833 Shaker Barn has become the home of the Healthy Habits Center and Food Pantry of the York County Shelter Programs, Inc. It represents the very best efforts of many good people who take great pride in helping others to gain a sense of safety, wellness, dignity, and hope.
Vinton Hall - the new energy-efficient green residential facility with eight single housing units has been constructed on the Shaker Hill property in Alfred.

be when they grew up, ever dreamed that they would be homeless.”

One is needed at the Shelter and the other is needed at the Farm. Please contact Mary at 324-8941 email mqdoyle@gmail.com if you can help us find these. Thanks!

Pots and pans and kitchen equipment (toasters, coffee makers, etc.) are also needed.
