York County Shelter Programs Inc. is seeking an energetic, flexible, upbeat person with the ability to multi-task for the position of Baker.  The ideal candidate will be familiar with bread mixing and baking (straight dough method), making pies, muffins, cakes, specialty cookies, and traditional cookies.  The Baker will be open to new ideas and learning new skills applicable to a growing business.  This position offers a great opportunity for someone who wants to improve their talents in a traditional baking setting, as well as learn new baking and pastry methods such as classical French and German pastries.  Cake decorating (rolled fondant, butter cream and marzipan decorations) and fine desserts.

 

The successful candidate must be dependable, flexible, maintain a positive attitude, be willing to be part of a dynamic food services and bakery team, and have a desire to work with low income and homeless persons.  Prior baking

experience required.  Supervisory experience preferred.  Pay commensurate with
