Addressing Health Needs

The York County Shelter Programs would like to thank York County Community Health Care (who is managed by York County Community Action) for their outstanding support and concern with medical and dental care for the homeless.  They have proven to be instrumental in providing care for our clients.  Best wishes are extended to them as they move to their larger facility in South Sanford.

Tom Nelson, Executive Director of York County Community Action, and Barbara Crider, Deputy Director and legal counsel, support the way that York County Community Health Care continues to work to meet the

medical needs of the homeless population and individuals living in subsidized housing.

Mary Ann Gleason was instrumental in acquiring the funding for York County Community Health Care, formerly called the Spruce Street Clinic.
